Publication Ethics Policy

Ganpat University Journal of Applied Research In Social Sciences & Humanities, A bi- Annual Refereed International Journal (Gujarissh) policy prohibits an author to submit the same manuscript for concurrent consideration of other publications. As this journal is an international journal it publishes original materials. Journal policy prohibits publication of any manuscript that has already been published in whole or in substantial part elsewhere. Authors will be required to state through mail that the submitted paper is an original work and not submitted elsewhere. Permission for reproduction of an article or any part should be addressed to the editor.

Plagiarism:

Plagiarism is the use of other’s published and unpublished ideas or words without acknowledgment or permission, and presenting them as new, innovative and original ideas or words rather than derived from an existing source. Self-plagiarism refers to the practice of an author using portions of their previous writings on the same topic in another of their publications, without specifically citing it formally in quotes.

Policy on Plagiarism:

The Journal checks plagiarism of submitted paper through licensed software Turnitin. We strongly discourage & condemn against this ruthless act. If  found guilty, to any extent, the journal will debar the guilty authors from publishing for the period of six months.

Disclaimer:

The accountability of the research article published in the journal is entirely of the author(s) concerned and not of the publisher/editorial board. The view expressed in the research papers/ articles of Gujarissh is those of the contributors, and it does not principally correspond to the views of the publisher/editor. Authors are responsible for their citing of sources and the accuracy of their references and bibliographies. The publisher/ editorial board of the journal is not liable for errors or any consequences arising from the exercise of information contained in it.

Review Policy:

The journal employs the double-blind peer review process, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.

Every proposal submitted for publication is read at least by an editor, for an initial review. If the paper agrees with editorial policies and with a minimum quality level, is sent to two reviewers. The reviewers won’t know the author’s identity, as any identifying information will be stripped from the document before review.

Reviewers’ comments to the editors are confidential and before passing on to the author are made anonymous. Based on the reviewers’ comments, the Editorial Board makes a final decision on the acceptability of the manuscript, and communicates to the authors the decision, along with referees’ reports. Whether significant revisions are proposed, acceptance is dependent on whether the author can deal with those satisfactorily.
